Shinola Hotel

The revitalization of Detroit is very important to us and we are proud and excited to announce this new project. The Shinola Hotel, a renovation of a building on Woodward bringing a new experience to downtown with the help of Bedrock. IDS will be designing the mechanical, electrical and plumbing aspects of the project.

Bio Engineering Facility

Echoes of Michigan State University’s Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum resonate inside the university’s new $60.8 million Bio Engineering Facility.That’s no coincidence. Integrated Design Solutions, of Troy, designed both buildings. Stainless steel walls and decorative glass greet people the moment they walk into the 130,000 square-foot research complex.

The three-year project was unveiled to the public Thursday as part of a grand opening ceremony that began at 4 p.m..

AIA Detroit Awards

The Celebration of Architecture is more than just an extravagant party that gives thanks and free drinks to great minds and amazing firms for their work around the world but also the Celebration is a rigid award ceremony presenting to the most prestigious firms. IDS was awarded an AIA Detroit Building Honor Award and we are proud to hold such a honor. Here are a few comments by the judges that critiqued are award submittal that went on to win: “The designers achieved their goal of creating places for serendipitous interaction. They transformed what could have been throw away circulation space into a grand place without using a lot of volume. The space planning is really quite skillful and economical.
